Social Value Recruitment

Transforming the world of work

Employment 4 All aims to transform the world of work, ensuring that everyone gets quality jobs that provide economic security and opportunities for advancement.

With the power of our Job Site platform E4AJobs and in partnership with organisations that share our values, we aim to help jobseekers facing barriers to gain employment and bring about an equitable and inclusive future of work.

World of Work

For many the gap to employment is great and they face multiple barriers to employment and multiple complex needs such as poverty, homelessness, in temporary accommodation, disabilities, mental health issues, Care Leavers, were excluded from mainstream education, prison leavers, NEET’s, lone parents, survivors of domestic violence and abuse.

Often Employment 4 All needs to address these core basic barriers first, to help raise them up to be work-ready. We challenge the misconceptions that exist and help to remove them. We do this by providing Employment Support, soft skills development, confidence building, work related training and skills. We partner with like minded, trainers and providers to deliver individualised and holistic support, tailored to the needs and sensitivities of the participants.

Our social impact efforts include expanding on our mission to help more people to get jobs and breaking down bias and barriers in hiring. By connecting people to better work to create better lives, enables us to make significant long-term impacts on the lives of the most marginalised and underserved individuals and communities

Breaking down barriers to employment

Most barriers to employment are unrelated to a candidate’s skills or ability to do the job.

Bias and barriers in hiring can negatively impact a person before, during, and after the job search, making it hard to find, get, and keep a job. Although there are a myriad of barriers people face globally, we have identified focus areas and initiatives to better Social Value Recruitment.

Our work is evolving, this E4AJobs platform allows people to provide their demographic data, which helps us understand where to focus our efforts to make the greatest impact on job seekers facing barriers and make hiring more inclusive.

This data will enable Employment 4 All to achieve evidence-based practices, providing research and data, that will allow us to make informed decisions and choose effective employment support strategies that have been proven to work. This evidence will help tailor interventions to individual needs.

We can focus on interventions that deliver the best outcomes, to avoid wasting efforts and resources. This will ensure more positive results when providing advisory support, increasing capability and employer focused strategies.

Data collected from E4AJobs will be used to enable Employment 4 All and our partners to shape best practice in delivering employment support, to make significant long-term impacts on the lives of the most marginalised and underserved individuals and communities.

By sharing our experiences and outcomes through Good News stories, testimonials from participants, collaborating with employers and referral partners, we can show what can be achieved and how projects can be scaled up, to help more people.

We hope to be able to create a culture of continuous improvement, learning and knowledge-sharing forums to achieve our required outcomes, targets and indicators of successful delivery.

Skills-first hiring is a recruitment approach that shifts the focus from candidates’ formal qualifications, or work experience, to their specific skills, competencies and abilities.

At Employment 4 ALL we believe if a candidate can do the job, they should be given the opportunity of getting the job, regardless of how or where they built their skills.

For jobseekers, skills-first hiring can remove barriers presented by the lack of a particular qualifications, or credentials and can unlock jobs. Upskilling can lead to better opportunities and more economic mobility.

For employers, it becomes easier to find quality, committed candidates.

People with disabilities face additional barriers to finding a job and may need additional accommodations on the job.

We believe in the power of human potential and strive to remove barriers that prevent people with disabilities from getting jobs. This forms the foundation of our commitment to partnering with employers who are Disability Confident and caring about disability inclusion. Often this means going beyond checklists to create truly inclusive experiences for everyone, regardless of barriers.

More companies are seeing the benefit of giving every candidate a fair chance. Jobseekers with a criminal record and prison leavers often face extra challenges, making it especially difficult to find the right opportunity.

Employment 4 ALL is actively working to improve employment opportunities for people with criminal records and encourages employers who can offer employment to Jobseekers with a criminal record to post vacancies on E4AJobs.

Without critical support like digital access and transportation, people struggle to find work and stay employed.

Employment 4 ALL and our partners provide critical resources, such as access to the Employment 4 ALL Databank, which is able to distribute free Vodafone, Virgin Mobile O2 and Three UK SIM cards to those who are experiencing data poverty. Sadly, more than seven million people across the UK are unable to access mobile data or broadband at home.

The Applicant Tracking System, enables Employment 4 ALL to ensure candidates on Employment Support Programmes have fares for transport to interviews and to get to work. We also partner with organisations such as Dress for Success and Suited & Booted who provide smart interview and workwear clothing to job seekers who need them most.
